Before taking the lecture on "what is entrepreneurship", I had the idea according to the wikpedia website that entrepreneur's are people who took calculated risk.
According to the wikpedia website:
For Frank H. Knight (1967) and Peter Drucker (1970) entrepreneurship is about taking risk. The behavior of the entrepreneur reflects a kind of person willing to put his or her career and financial security on the line and take risks in the name of an idea, spending much time as well as capital on an uncertain venture....
After much thought and discussion with the teacher the idea of taking risk didn't seem so daunting as before. Well the reason is that, whether we are entrepreneurs or not, we ,as normal people take risks everyday. For example we as international students, we took the risk to come to Sweden for studies and take more risks as the day passes by.
Bottom-line is that we take risk in order to get gain, whether positive or negative.
